Revolutionising The Recruitment Business

Most job seekers  find the task of finding a job one of the most stressful things they have ever done. For the majority of the working population living from one pay day to the next, without meaningful savings to cushion them, being without work and a pay cheque is a nightmare they don't ever want to face.

The employer is bound by stringent labour legislation and employment equity requirements and to find the perfect employee is not an easy task at all. Besides finding the perfect employee the employer still has to ascertain their well being in terms of past work references, credit and criminal checks.

The recruitment agency specialises in advertising for the employee, finding the correct person, verifying the potential employees well being in society and interviewing the correct person and, thereafter if satisfied, referring them onto their employer client. This service is necessary but is costly at some 12-15% of annual salary.

The majority of available jobs, some 77%, are provided by small businesses with less than 50 people. The entrepreneur or owner who probably takes home R25 000 a month has to pay R18000 in recruitment fees for an employee earning R12000/month. This has proved too big a chunk out of their take home earnings. Statistics show that the majority of available positions are filled through "Word of Mouth". In essence, this is when the employer or one of their staff members knows a friend or a friend of a friend who is looking for work. The employer then takes them on without much checking but simply accepts the bona fides or good faith of the person making the referral. Sometimes these people work out and sometimes they don't but it could be a costly move by the employer if the incorrect person is employed.

Bigger employers tend to recruit themselves using their own website, advertise on job portal websites and also use recruitment agencies.

However, the forthcoming recession and potential depression in parts of the world caused by over borrowings of European and US governments and selected banks is going to negatively affect employers in South Africa. Over 27% of our country's foreign borrowing is from cash strapped European Banks.

Retrenchments, liquidations and the like will result and employers will be on a cost cutting mission to reduce any expenditure capable of being trimmed.

Recruitment advertising costs 12%-15% and recruitment fees are likely to be in line for such expenditure pruning.

The revolution that a career portal has started in the South African recruitment business is offering recruitment agencies and employers the ability to advertise their available jobs at no cost whatsoever. Recruiters and employers also get free access to a revolutionary scientific Match+Rank™ technology that finds the perfect person for the available job. The refining process of this Match+Rank™ technology allows the recruiter or employer to create a shortlist of suitable candidates with their complete profiles and refine them down using various variables to identify the perfect candidate. The candidate’s complete profile is seen by the recruiter or employer prior to purchase is an expanded CV.

Recruitment agencies will be able to reduce their advertising costs as well as their recruiters' time and costs sifting through countless CV's and interviews. They will be able to immediately service their employer clients perfectly. Sole mandates from employers to recruitment agencies is like money in the bank and by using this revolutionary job portal receiving sole mandates will become the norm for recruitment agencies.

Employers choosing to find their own staff now have a scientific way to select not only from friends of friends but from the whole of South Africa, easily and intelligently, finding the perfect candidate from as little as R90.

Job seekers have their own personal dashboards and will be able to follow their job hunting progress to reduce their anxiety whilst increasing their optimism, while recruitment agencies and employers can find their skills immediately via Match+Rank™ technology.

During 2012 this job portal will be unfolding various free job creation services, for example: assisting graduates find the right graduate programme, identifying internships, skills training programmes. Helping "grey hair' work seekers, skilled worker referrals, entrepreneur training and finance, business leads and a bursary fund for tomorrow's maths and science teachers.
